Camping in Bavaria: Sportsmen\u2019s paradises Franconian Switzerland and Nuremberger Land<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Franconian Switzerland offers plenty of leisure opportunities, like hiking, canoeing, climbing or simple bathing fun. Between mountains, lakes and forests, on the shore of the P\u00fcttlach, nearby the rocky village T\u00fcchersfeld, you can find the campsite Fr\u00e4nkische Schweiz<\/a>. Due to its practical division into the areas family site, seasonal lot and tent pitch, it is the ideal place to go for families and larger groups, as well as for athletes and individualists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Nuremberger Land, close to the Lake-Constance-to-K\u00f6nigsee-Cycleway<\/a> the holiday farm Maurus<\/a> is located. It is the perfect starting point for extended bicycle or hiking tours. But the site is also ideally suited for families with kids, due to an indoor play center, a ball court and the various animals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

Camping in Baden-Wuerttemberg: The idyllic Black Forest and the popular leisure region Swabian Alb<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In the biosphere area Swabian Alb, the farm Hopfenburg<\/a> is to be found. The reception is located in an old circus caravan, amongst grazing animals, while the associated corner shop is situated in a converted coop. Cars are permitted on the site, to not disturb the rural idyll. The Swabian Alb is optimally suited for families, but also outdoor enthusiasts, and the farm Hopfenberg offers atmospheric camping opportunities for every taste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding the Black Forest we would like to introduce the tent pitch M\u00fcllerwiese<\/a> that is settled in the Enz Valley. The car-free and child-friendly site lies in close proximity to different leisure opportunities, like a tree-climbing-park, a primeval forest path and the Enz-Valley-Cycleway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camping in Rhineland-Palatinate: The highland region Hunsr\u00fcck<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Hunsr\u00fcck is one of the oldest mountain ranges in Germany and as that, a popular destination for active vacationers and lovers of nature. The spacious campsite Waldwiesen<\/a> offers enough space for larger groups and ensures lots of bathing fun, due to an integrated swimming pond. Five different fireplaces provide the possibility to have an open bonfire, which contributes to the pleasant atmosphere – especially by night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the middle of the wild and romantic Hahnenbach Valley, on a glade and the adjacent grove, you can find the nature camp Schmidtburg<\/a>. As the name already indicates, everything here is dedicated to exploring nature: \u201cThe only noise is silence and the Hahnenbach\u2019s murmur\u201c. Located at the award-winning hiking trail Hahnenbach-Valley-Tour<\/a> und the water experience path Hahnenbach Valley, the camp offers plenty of leisure possibilities. Especially for families, this site is worth a trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camping in Hessen: The Hessian Switzerland<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In the outdoor sports region of Hessian Switzerland, right at the Lake Werratal, we recommend the canoe camp Maisy May<\/a>. Set up in the \u201agold miners style\u2019, canoeing and its history are the main focus of attention on this site. You can rent canoes and guided tours are offered from four persons. But other outdoor athletes also get their money\u2019s worth, as the region offers various hiking and bicycle trails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camping in Saxony: The Saxon Switzerland<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Saxon Switzerland – the German part of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains – is very popular amongst climbers, as they find themselves in the center of the oldest climbing area. But it is also a beautiful hiking region. On the alternatively managed campsite of Ferdinands Homestay<\/a>, outdoor sportsmen, families and connoisseurs feel equally comfortable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camping in Lower Saxony: The Weser Hills and the Hanseatic City of Uelzen<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

On this site you will predominantly meet climbers: The Ith campsite<\/a> of the German Alpine Association (DAV), which is not exclusively but preferentially for DAV members. Located on a mountain crest, nearby several climbing areas, this camping ground is a hotspot for the North German climbing scene. Due to this focus, athletes are more addressed than families or \u201asoul-truants\u2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the edge of the Hanseatic city of Uelzen, in the small district Westerweyhe, you can find the cozy camping ground Uhlenk\u00f6rper Camp<\/a>. There is a natural outdoor pool that ensures relaxation and recreational fun and due to its location this site is the ideal starting point for canoe rides, bicycle tours, tree-climbing-adventures and hiking excursions. As the Uhlenk\u00f6rper Camp is very ecoconscious, it is a suiting destination for families as well as for outdoor friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camping in Hamburg: Explore the versatile Hanseatic City in a new way<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Straight at the Elbe riverside, at the beautiful Stover beach, not far away from Hamburg, the campsite Campingland an der Elbe<\/a> is located. Since 1960 it is in family hands and is managed on the basis of ecological and sustainable principles. It is very family-friendly but also a good spot for athletes and individualists. The city center of Hamburg is approximately 30 minutes away , while the Elbe invites you to go fishing and bird watching. Last but not least this region is characterized by a wide network of cycleways and offers leisure possibilities for every taste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camping at the North Sea: The beautiful island Spiekeroog<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

On the little North Sea island Spiekeroog, one of the most beautiful natural campsites in Europe<\/a> is situated – directly behind the dunes at its own beach section. For children there is play equipment and a playground area to completely let off steam, while the parents may enjoy the breathtaking landscape and the fresh sea air. Furthermore the island invites to explore it by extended beach walks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camping at the Baltic Sea: The versatile island Usedom<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Not directly at the beach but in the middle of a natural treescape, the campsite Naturcamp Usedom<\/a> is located. For nature lovers the undivided tent site is especially appealing – with sun or shadow as required. It is well equipped but still natural and suited for everyone who likes camping. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camping in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Family-friendly canoe paradises<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The family campsite Hexenw\u00e4ldchen<\/a> is a very special experience: In the middle of a forest, right on the waterfront of a little lake, this site seems to be a world of its own. It offers maximum entertainment for young and old: A padding zoo, educational events about the environment, a sauna, paddling or hiking tours – there is no chance for boredom here. You can also explore the Mecklenburg Lake District and the M\u00fcritz national park and meanwhile recreate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last site we like to introduce is Kanu-Camping-Warnow<\/a> at the B\u00fctzower lake. Here are friends of canoeing and kayaking in the limelight – regardless of age. As a waterway berth and rest area it offers useful services: direct access to the Warnow, a canoe rental and a shuttle service. Furthermore the camp is situated in close proximity to the cycling tracks Berlin-Copenhagen<\/a> and Hamburg-R\u00fcgen<\/a>.
